WHOLE LOTTA LOVE Release Party + Special Guests Announced

SplitScreen Entertainment is pleased to announce the official release event for its new tribute album, WHOLE LOTTA LOVE: An All-Star Salute To Fat Chicks. Doug Darrell of Triangle Exception - "Big, Fat, Sexy Mama"

As previously reported, WHOLE LOTTA LOVE: An All-Star Salute To Fat Chicks is a musical homage to the big, beautiful women who make the rockin' world go 'round. It features all-new recordings of popular songs praising the fuller female figure, originally made famous by some of the biggest names in rock and pop music. These anthems to abundance are performed by renowned rock & rollers from yesterday and today, along with a select few rising stars. In direct opposition to the "no fat chicks" mantra espoused by some, WHOLE LOTTA LOVE is a star-studded celebration of large and lovely ladies.

Songs include Queen's arena rock classic "Fat Bottomed Girls" by L.A. Guns singer Phil Lewis, with guitarist Paul LaPlaca and drummer John Macaluso. Also on tap is a high-octane version of the AC/DC concert staple "Whole Lotta Rosie" by Rufus Fontain, featuring Cinderella guitarist Jeff LaBar and original Jackyl vocalist Ronnie Honeycutt. The Poison chart-topper "Unskinny Bop" is ably recreated by party rock outfit Evick, featuring members of the Bret Michaels Band. And the bass-heavy Spinal Tap dirge "Big Bottom" is given a 6-string revamp by Twisted Sister guitarist Eddie Ojeda and his Band of Steel. Plus-sized songstress Celisa Stratton brings all-new meaning to the title track "Whole Lotta Love" by Led Zeppelin, in conjunction with veteran Quiet Riot drummer Frankie Banali and guitarist Alex Grossi. Additionally, rock & roll comic C.C. Banana offers up a faithful rendition of the Kiss track "Spit" (a.k.a. "Split"), featuring bassist David Z of ZO2 and guitarist Angus Clark. Danger Danger frontman Ted Poley lends his trademark vocals to the Electric Boys hit "All Lips N' Hips," alongside his Poley/Rivera partner Vic Rivera. And the Sir Mix-A-Lot hip-hop smash "Baby Got Back" is given a metal makeover by comedian Don Jamieson, co-host of "That Metal Show" on VH1 Classic. Trixter guitarist Steve Brown puts a rock spin on Mika's international Top 40 single "Big Girl (You Are Beautiful)." Plus "Big, Fat, Sexy Mama," a song by NYC underground sensation The Compulsions, is expertly rendered by newcomers Triangle Exception. Also included is the original studio recording of "You Need A Great Big Woman" by celebrated blues diva Candye Kane and the brand new song "BMW" by the mysterious Dogwhistle. Rounding out the roster are founding Twisted Sister guitarist Jay Jay French, Tuff vocalist Stevie Rachelle and longtime W.A.S.P. drummer Stet Howland, who collaborate on a cover of the Ted Nugent cult favorite "Thunder Thighs." The album boasts an inspired cover by pop artist Les Toil, known for his bold and beautiful "big girl" pin-up art. Samples of all tracks are available at the official WHOLE LOTTA LOVE MySpace page.

WHOLE LOTTA LOVE Adds Candye Kane

Celebrated blues diva Candye Kane, recent cancer survivor and 2010 nominee for the B.B. King Entertainer of the Year Award, becomes the final name player added to the upcoming tribute album WHOLE LOTTA LOVE: An All-Star Salute To Fat Chicks. The voluptuous and curvaceous Candye appears courtesy of her size-positive original recording "You Need A Great Big Woman," as showcased on the Lifetime network and "The Maury Povich Show." This guitar-laden swing rocker features the incomparable Ms. Kane belting out the benefits of loving a large and luscious lady like herself. A sample of the song is now available at the official WHOLE LOTTA LOVE MySpace page.

As Candye Kane reveals in the very lyrics of the song, "I like to sing the virtues of a big girl because I never did see myself (or women like me) on the cover of 'Cosmo' or 'Vanity Fair.' I only saw myself on the cover of 'Plumpers & Big Women' and 'Hefty Mamas!' But my message to you is, you've got to love your body and love yourself... and love everyone else's body if you get the chance! It works for me, baby."

Candye is one of but few women on the roster, which consists largely of members of such hard rock bands as Quiet Riot, Cinderella, Twisted Sister, Danger Danger and L.A. Guns performing songs about plus-sized women like her. Despite her minimal association with the genre, she does recall an encounter she once had with Kiss bassist Gene Simmons (who has publicly acknowledged his own appreciation of full-bodied women).

"Even though I'm honored to be included here, I'm not normally in the company of rockers," admits Kane. "I think the closest I got was back in the '80s when Gene Simmons hit on me! This was when I was recording my first album and he was producing some Japanese band (EZO) in the same studio. I turned him down, so I'm probably one of the few women who can say that! Back then I was more into country music so I said, 'Maybe if you were Dwight Yoakam!' I'm sure he wasn't accustomed to hearing that!"

Also confirmed for the tribute is the inclusion of the track "BMW" by the mysterious Dogwhistle, a funk/rock fusion combining two of man's favorite things: girls and cars. "BMW" is a brand new song composed expressly for this project and is available nowhere other than the tribute. A sample of the song is now available at the official WHOLE LOTTA LOVE MySpace page.

WHOLE LOTTA LOVE: An All-Star Salute To Fat Chicks is scheduled for an August 31, 2010 release and is now available for pre-order directly from SplitScreen Entertainment. The first 500 pre-orders will receive a free instant digital download of "Fat Bottomed Girls" as well as a bonus mini-print of the cover art upon delivery of the album.

WHOLE LOTTA LOVE Adds Jay Jay French, Stevie Rachelle, Stet Howland

Three additional musicians have been confirmed for the upcoming tribute album WHOLE LOTTA LOVE: An All-Star Salute To Fat Chicks. Founding Twisted Sister guitarist Jay Jay French, Tuff vocalist Stevie Rachelle and drummer Stet Howland (Lita Ford, W.A.S.P.) have collaborated on a new recording of the Ted Nugent cult favorite "Thunder Thighs," a track from his 1986 "Penetrator" album. As Ted himself reveals in its liner notes, "'Thunder Thighs' is a career highpoint, as far as I and many others are concerned." The story of a lusty young lady with a healthy appetite (and healthy curves to match), the new version is delivered with equal gusto and enthusiasm by the talented trio above. The track was arranged and produced by Paul LaPlaca (Chris Caffrey, The Great Kat, Zandelle), who also contributes bass and rhythm guitar. A sample of the song is now available at the official WHOLE LOTTA LOVE MySpace page.

"I am the voice of this lost Nugent nugget," says Stevie Rachelle, "and it sure was a fun one to sing! Uncle Ted does indeed rock. Always has, always will."

"I recorded my guitar parts fresh out of seeing 'Avatar' by James Cameron," comments Jay Jay French. "So even though I was laying down tracks for a song about some girl with meaty legs, all I kept picturing were those elongated blue aliens with their 3% body fat!"

"Ironically, I found myself working on 'Thunder Thighs' during a thunderstorm," reveals Stet Howland, "and a lightning strike fried my system! To say that the files got corrupted would be an understatement! Long story short, after buying a new computer, reloading and upgrading my Pro Tools and shouting a lot of random curse words, my drum tracks were done!"

WHOLE LOTTA LOVE Adds Steve Brown

Trixter guitarist Steve Brown has joined the roster of the upcoming tribute album WHOLE LOTTA LOVE: An All-Star Salute To Fat Chicks. Steve puts a rock spin on the hit single "Big Girl (You Are Beautiful)," made famous by current pop sensation Mika. A celebratory affirmation of plus-sized women, it was written as the theme for the Butterfly Lounge, a California nightclub catering to larger ladies and their admirers. The song was an international Top 40 hit in 2007 and has been featured on such TV shows as ABC's "Ugly Betty" and "Good Morning America." Brown took the dance beat of the original and infused it with his own patented guitar stylings, adding a hard rock coating around its pop center. A sample of the song is now available at the official WHOLE LOTTA LOVE MySpace page.

"Women make the world go 'round," states an enthusiastic Steve Brown. "All shapes and sizes, I love 'em all! As such, this is the perfect song for me. I stuck with the dance groove and added some big guitars and huge vocals to take this tune to the next level. It rocks and it (jelly) rolls!"

Also confirmed for the tribute is the inclusion of a track from newcomers Triangle Exception, who contribute a cover of the song "Big, Fat, Sexy Mama." Channeling the spirits of the Rolling Stones and the New York Dolls, "Big, Fat, Sexy Mama" is a raucous ballad extolling the virtues of making love to a fuller figured woman. The song originated with New York City underground sensation The Compulsions, hailed by "Classic Rock" magazine as "The Coolest Band in the World" and featuring frontman Rob Carlyle, alongside current Guns N' Roses members Richard Fortus and Frank Ferrer.

WHOLE LOTTA LOVE Adds Don Jamieson

Comedian Don Jamieson, Emmy Award winner and co-host of "That Metal Show" on VH1 Classic, becomes the latest addition to the upcoming tribute album WHOLE LOTTA LOVE: An All-Star Salute To Fat Chicks. In a surprising first, Jamieson provides lead vocals for a rap/rock version of the hip-hop smash "Baby Got Back." An homage to thick and curvy women with an abundance of junk in the trunk, the song was first popularized in 1992 by rapper Sir Mix-A-Lot (who has himself taken to performing a metal version of the song in recent years). All music for Don's interpretation was arranged and performed by Paul LaPlaca (Chris Caffrey, The Great Kat, Zandelle), with backing vocals provided courtesy of rock & roll comic C.C. Banana. A sample of the song is now available at the official WHOLE LOTTA LOVE MySpace page.

"It's hard to pinpoint exactly how I came to agree on doing this song," explains Don Jamieson. "A man I know only as C.C. Banana asked me if I would rap on an album about fat broads. Though I've been intimate with a few ladies in the heavyweight division before, I've never actually rapped about them. For that matter, I've never rapped about anything. Now that I think about it, I guess it was the promise of a cold beer that sealed the deal. So thank you, C.C. and Paul, I had a blast. Oh yeah, and thank you, Budweiser."

Jamieson appears weekly on the hit VH1 Classic program "That Metal Show" alongside VJ Eddie Trunk and longtime comedy partner Jim Florentine (with whom he also stars in the hidden camera comedy "Meet The Creeps" and in the popular series of "Terrorizing Telemarketers" CDs). A lifelong fan of rock and metal, this is Don's very first performance on an actual music release.

"One reason this opportunity appealed to me is that it's something I've never done before," reveals Jamieson. "But after getting comfortable in the studio, I was making suggestions and guiding the session like a regular Mutt Lange! Which is a nice change of pace for me, since I'm usually more of an Artie Lange. Or occasionally a Jessica Lange. Overall, it was a smooth transition from working with Eddie Trunk to rapping about chicks with junk in the trunk."

WHOLE LOTTA LOVE Adds Ted Poley, Vic Rivera

Danger Danger frontman Ted Poley has joined the roster of the upcoming tribute album WHOLE LOTTA LOVE: An All-Star Salute To Fat Chicks. Ted appears alongside his Poley/Rivera collaborator Vic Rivera, who also produced and arranged the music for their track. The duo breathes new life into the song "All Lips N' Hips" by the Electric Boys, who themselves recently reunited after a 15-year hiatus. A surprise MTV hit in 1990, "All Lips N' Hips" paints the sonic picture of an exotic dancer endowed with generous feminine curvature. A sample of the song is now available at the official WHOLE LOTTA LOVE MySpace page.

A returning veteran of SplitScreen Entertainment tribute albums, Rivera was also featured on the 2008 release "KISS MY ANKH: A Tribute To Vinnie Vincent," teaming up with vocalist Kelli McCloud on a haunting recreation of "Love Kills" by the Vinnie Vincent Invasion.

"I was very happy when they approached me to be a part of this next project," offers Vic Rivera, "especially since I have a great appreciation for full-figured women! Even before they told me which songs were up for consideration, I knew I wanted to do 'All Lips N' Hips.' I've always interpreted this song to be about an especially curvy and voluptuous girl, so we adjusted a few lines to drive that point home. Naturally, I had to involve my partner-in-crime Ted Poley to sing. All in all, it's the perfect addition to this long overdue tribute to the zaftig woman!"

Though Poley himself was not a contributor to the aforementioned "KISS MY ANKH" album, he did provide inspiration for the bonus track "Ted Poley" (a parody of the Kiss song "Unholy"), written and performed by rock & roll comic C.C. Banana and featuring guitars by Chris Caffery.

"I was so flattered to be the subject of a song on the first SplitScreen Entertainment release, I just had to sign on for the follow-up!" enthuses Ted Poley. "Even though I was a little concerned that the tune might not be right for my voice, Vic found a way to make everything sound great. We couldn't have had more fun tracking this song! I hope everyone approves of our own take on the Electric Boys original."

WHOLE LOTTA LOVE Adds C.C. Banana, David Z, Angus Clark

Rock & roll comic C.C. Banana, known for his outrageous interviews with rockers and other celebrities, becomes the latest addition to the upcoming tribute album WHOLE LOTTA LOVE: An All-Star Salute To Fat Chicks. C.C. performs a faithful rendition of the underground Kiss track "Spit," a song from their 1992 album "Revenge." Originally sung by Gene Simmons (with an assist from Paul Stanley), "Spit" is an unapologetic rock & roll rant about the pleasures of pleasuring a large-sized lady. It is also the second Kiss song covered by C.C. Banana in his brief music career, the first being a parody of "Unholy," rewritten as a roast of Danger Danger frontman Ted Poley and appearing on the 2008 album "KISS MY ANKH: A Tribute To Vinnie Vincent." C.C. has amended the title of the track from "Spit" to "Split," in deference to his unique banana pedigree. A sample of the song is now available at the official WHOLE LOTTA LOVE MySpace page.

As C.C. Banana explains, "For the follow-up to my contribution to the Vinnie Vincent tribute, for which I recorded a Kiss song from the 'Revenge' album sung by Gene Simmons, I decided to record a Kiss song from the 'Revenge' album sung by Gene Simmons (albeit with a slight change of title, to better reflect my yellow magnificence). What can I say? Split happens!"

Featured musicians on the track include guitarist Angus Clark and bassist David Z. Clark is known for his work with famed New Age artist Kitaro and is currently supporting his newest musical venture, DareDevil Squadron. Z is a member of rising rock act ZO2, who toured with Kiss on their Rock The Nation Tour with Poison and can currently be seen in the weekly television series "Z Rock" on the Independent Film Channel.

"Kiss is my favorite band so I was more than pleased to cover one of their songs," says David Z. "When ZO2 was on tour with them a few years ago, we would ask them to play the most obscure Kiss tunes during soundcheck. 'Spit' was always one of the songs we'd request. Naturally, it was a real thrill getting to work with the one and only C.C. Banana! I had a complete blast working on this track."

"Any time C.C. Banana calls, you answer!" insists Angus Clark. "Heck, I actually practiced my part! Bruce Kulick used some sort of flange effect on the original to give it that Hendrix vibe, so I dialed up something similar and had at it."

Joining David Z on bass and Angus Clark on lead guitar are Charlie Zeleny (Jordan Rudess, Blotted Science, Behold... The Arctopus) on drums and Kelli McCloud (Days Before Tomorrow, dedLilith) on co-lead vocals, singing the Paul Stanley parts from a female point of view. The track was arranged and produced by Paul LaPlaca (Chris Caffrey, The Great Kat, Zandelle), who also contributes rhythm guitar.

Concluding with a comment on the theme of the album, C.C. Banana confirms, "For the record, I am a lifelong admirer of the overripe female figure. Like a luscious fruit, a bigger woman is all the juicier. Especially if she's pear-shaped or has ample melons! Without a doubt, these girls put the HEAVY in METAL."

WHOLE LOTTA LOVE Cover Art Revealed

SplitScreen Entertainment has revealed the cover art of its upcoming tribute album WHOLE LOTTA LOVE: An All-Star Salute To Fat Chicks. Inspired by the art of 19th century painter William Rimmer, the album cover is based on his most famous work, Evening (The Fall of Day). In place of the winged male in the original is a classically Rubenesque female figure, gracefully floating over a tranquil seascape. The new rendition was created by eminent pop artist Les Toil, known for his bold and beautiful "big girl" pin-up art (as well as concert posters for the likes of Tori Amos and Alanis Morissette, and cover art for albums featuring NOFX, Green Day and Blink-182). In addition to serving as the cover of the tribute, the new artwork is also being offered on posters and T-shirts available from SplitScreen Entertainment.

"To complement such a unique project as this, the cover art needed to be absolutely perfect," reasons SplitScreen Entertainment founder A.J. Confessore. "I wanted to reference an iconic and evocative image, replacing the central figure with a larger woman in a classy and tasteful manner. After months of trying to come up with just the right idea, it finally hit me like a bolt out of the blue! This vision was ultimately given form by the endlessly gifted Les Toil, who rendered our angelic ingenue with due serenity and poise (while also striking that delicate balance between parody and homage). In the end, I hope this image will resonate with fans in the rock and plus-size communities alike."

"Passive and subtle were never qualities that attracted me to rock & roll," adds artist Les Toil. "Apparently the same can be said for my appreciation of the opposite sex. I want a fat bottomed girl. A whole lotta Rosie. A big-legged woman who does (or doesn't) have soul. In other words, I want a whole lotta love!"

WHOLE LOTTA LOVE Adds Frankie Banali, Alex Grossi

Veteran Quiet Riot drummer Frankie Banali and guitarist Alex Grossi are the newest recruits to the upcoming tribute album WHOLE LOTTA LOVE: An All-Star Salute To Fat Chicks. Each lends their talent to a unique interpretation of the title track, originated by Led Zeppelin in 1969. Offering a new twist on the familiar classic, Alex provides a nuanced lead while Frankie brings his trademark Zeppelin sensibilities to the drums, making this the first time the two have appeared together on a studio recording. The track was arranged and produced by Paul LaPlaca (Chris Caffrey, The Great Kat, Zandelle), who also contributes acoustic guitar, bass and additional percussion. All vocals are handled by newcomer Celisa Stratton, a supersized songstress of 6'2" and 400+ lbs. A big, beautiful woman with a big, beautiful voice, she more than embodies the spirit of the album and brings all new meaning to the phrase "Whole Lotta Love." A sample of the song is now available at the official WHOLE LOTTA LOVE MySpace page.

"Since this is a salute to fat chicks, my intention was to make the song sound FAT," says vocalist Celisa Stratton. "So I changed the key and utilized my full vocal range to create a whole new version of the song. Hopefully in listening to this track, people will see the point of view of a proud fat woman who has a whole lotta love to give."

"I put much thought into the best way to approach this," adds producer Paul LaPlaca. "I ended up with a largely acoustic arrangement with lots of hand percussion and some exotic loops. Interestingly, when Alex and Frankie added their parts, it took the song in a completely different direction that still totally worked."

"It was a lot of fun providing the drum track for 'Whole Lotta Love,'" comments Frankie Banali. "To bring some authenticity to this iconic song, I brought in a drum kit of the exact specs used on the original 'Led Zeppelin II' sessions, right down to the drumheads. While not copying beat for beat, I played drum parts that are in the spirit of the great John Henry Bonham."

"I was pretty excited to add my guitars to this song, especially after hearing Frankie's drums," continues Alex Grossi. "Overall, I'm glad to be a part of this project, paying tribute to fat chicks everywhere!"

WHOLE LOTTA LOVE: An All-Star Salute To Fat Chicks is scheduled for an August 31, 2010 release and is now available for pre-order directly from SplitScreen Entertainment. The first 500 pre-orders will receive a free instant digital download of "Fat Bottomed Girls" and a surprise bonus item upon delivery of the album.

WHOLE LOTTA LOVE Adds Eddie Ojeda's Band of Steel

Twisted Sister guitarist Eddie Ojeda has joined the roster of the upcoming tribute album WHOLE LOTTA LOVE: An All-Star Salute To Fat Chicks. Eddie appears in conjunction with his solo project Eddie Ojeda's Band of Steel, featuring vocalist Andre Vanchot (X Factor X, Joe Stump), bassist Chris McCarvill (Dokken, House of Lords, Jeff Scott Soto) and drummer B.J. Zampa (Dokken, House of Lords, Yngwie Malmsteen). Eddie and company contribute a new incarnation of the Spinal Tap favorite "Big Bottom," a tongue-in-cheek tribute to the well-padded posterior. "Big Bottom" is infamous for featuring three separate bass parts (bass, lead bass, rhythm bass) with no guitars whatsoever. A bass-centric tune with a lot of low end, it's a bottom-heavy ode to the bottom-heavy girl. A sample of the song is now available at the official WHOLE LOTTA LOVE MySpace page.

"When I was first asked if I wanted to cover 'Big Bottom,' I thought it was a joke! I mean, why would you ask a guitarist to play on a song with no guitars?" commented a bewildered Eddie Ojeda. "That's like hiring Dee Snider to record a song and then telling him not to sing on it! I just figured I'd stumbled into an easy gig, since my band would end up doing all the work. In the end, I did find a way of adding my own personal touch to the song, while also being respectful to the bass-heavy sound of the original."

"It wasn't hard playing all three bass parts," added Chris McCarvill, "but it was hard playing them all at the same time. There has to be an easier way to do this!" The exhausted McCarvill then passed out from his exertions and declined to comment further.

"Remember, you can't spell BASS without ASS!" remarked singer Andre Vanchot, moments before dropping trou and mooning hapless bandmate B.J. Zampa.

Summing up the band's collective pride in the finished product, Ojeda beamed, "I think our version is absolutely killer. On a scale of 1 to 10, I give it an 11!"

WHOLE LOTTA LOVE Adds Pete Evick, Ray Scheuring, Chuck Fanslau

Three additional musicians have been confirmed for the upcoming tribute album WHOLE LOTTA LOVE: An All-Star Salute To Fat Chicks. Guitarist/vocalist Pete Evick, bassist Ray Scheuring and drummer Chuck Fanslau (collectively known as Evick) have submitted a new recording of the chart-topping Poison hit "Unskinny Bop." Despite the fact that the song is not actually about fat girls, its title has led many to presume otherwise. Now 20 years after reaching #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, "Unskinny Bop" at last lives up to its name by appearing on a tribute to larger ladies. A sample of the song is now available at the official WHOLE LOTTA LOVE MySpace page.

Evick, Scheuring and Fanslau also form the core of the Bret Michaels Band, touring the country as Bret's handpicked team of backing musicians. They appear in his music videos and on his solo albums, as well as being featured in all three seasons of the runaway hit VH1 reality series "Rock of Love with Bret Michaels." Naturally, their primary responsibility is ably recreating the many Bret Michaels and Poison classics live on a nightly basis.

"If anyone has earned the right to cover a Poison song, it's us!" states Evick founder Pete Evick. "We play this one year-round as the Bret Michaels Band, so we know it inside and out. Even though 'Unskinny Bop' has nothing to do with unskinny girls, most people seem to think it does. As such, all it took was a few tweaks to the lyrics to make this song fit the album concept (without changing the heart and soul of the Poison original)."

Earlier this year, Pete appeared along with Bret Michaels on the NBC television program "The Celebrity Apprentice," a competition that Bret ultimately won. Evick also co-wrote the first single from Michaels' new solo album ("Nothing To Lose" featuring Miley Cyrus). Most recently, he was a featured guest on CNN's "Larry King Live" alongside Poison drummer Rikki Rockett, discussing the life-threatening brain hemorrhage suffered by Bret Michaels in April.

WHOLE LOTTA LOVE Adds Jeff LaBar, Ronnie Honeycutt

Cinderella guitarist Jeff LaBar has joined the roster of the upcoming tribute album WHOLE LOTTA LOVE: An All-Star Salute To Fat Chicks. Jeff appears as part of Tennessee-based rock outfit Rufus Fontain, featuring original Jackyl vocalist Ronnie Honeycutt, guitarist Tim Lewis, bassist Hayden James and drummer Shawn Hughes (Naked Beggars, John Corabi). The five-piece rips through a high-octane version of the AC/DC concert staple "Whole Lotta Rosie," showcasing LaBar's signature guitar tone and Honeycutt's patented Bon Scott rasp. A sample of the song is now available at the official WHOLE LOTTA LOVE MySpace page.

"Whole Lotta Rosie" tells the true-life tale of an intimate encounter between the late AC/DC singer and a sexual dynamo by the name of Rosie, all 42"-39"-56" and 250+ lbs. of her. Rosie's legendary amplitude provided inspiration not only for the song itself, but also for the large inflatable Rosie that was added to the live AC/DC stage show during the Brian Johnson era. As AC/DC rhythm guitarist Malcolm Young explains in the commentary of the "Live at Donington" DVD (on which the larger-than-life-sized Rosie can be witnessed in all her glory), "We update her every tour now, she comes in new and improved versions. She never gets thinner, she gets bigger! The boobs always get bigger, the butt gets bigger and more tattoos are added. But she still looks sweet and the fans just love her."

"Having been greatly influenced by AC/DC, I was thrilled to cover 'Whole Lotta Rosie' for this unique tribute," remarks Jeff LaBar. "It gave me the chance to arrange, record and mix an entire song from scratch, rather than just contributing as a guitarist. Naturally, I had the help of some friends from my local Nashville pub! All told, this track took a day to rehearse, a day to record and a day to mix... not bad for a bunch of drunks on the edge!"

"Singing this song is right up my alley, and not just because I like to scream like Bon Scott!" adds vocalist Ronnie Honeycutt. "This album is a celebration of real women everywhere."

WHOLE LOTTA LOVE: An All-Star Salute To Fat Chicks

SplitScreen Entertainment
announces the next in its series of uniquely-themed tribute albums, WHOLE LOTTA LOVE: An All-Star Salute To Fat Chicks. The follow-up to its premier offering KISS MY ANKH: A Tribute To Vinnie Vincent from 2008, the album is a musical homage to the big, beautiful women who make the rockin' world go 'round. WHOLE LOTTA LOVE will feature all-new recordings of popular songs praising the fuller female figure, originally made famous by some of the biggest names in rock and pop music. These anthems to abundance will be performed by renowned rock & rollers from yesterday and today, along with a select few rising stars. In direct opposition to the "no fat chicks" mantra espoused by some, WHOLE LOTTA LOVE will be a star-studded celebration of large and lovely ladies.

Starting off the salute with a regal flourish is Queen's arena rock classic "Fat Bottomed Girls," sung by Phil Lewis of Hollywood warhorse L.A. Guns. A favorite song from his youth in the UK, Phil lends an appropriately British flair to this beloved ode to the amply endowed derriere. The track was arranged and produced by Paul LaPlaca (Chris Caffrey, The Great Kat, Zandelle), who also contributes lead and rhythm guitar. Keeping the beat is drummer extraordinaire John Macaluso (Yngwie Malmsteen, Riot, TNT), with bass provided by Joey Bones and additional guitars by Robert Sadowski. A sample of the song is now available at the official WHOLE LOTTA LOVE MySpace page.

"There is much to be said for those exquisite women who are built for comfort, rather than speed," professes Phil Lewis. "Skinny little spinners have never done it for me. They were always too boney for my particular taste. Let's hear it for the plush princesses who are confident in their curves! You truly do make my rockin' world go 'round."

"WHOLE LOTTA LOVE is something of a dream project for me," adds SplitScreen Entertainment founder A.J. Confessore, "combining two of my favorite things into one milestone effort. A rock & roll tribute to the ample beauty of the plus-sized woman is an idea I've been tinkering with for most of my adult years. I'm therefore overjoyed to have the support of such noteworthy rockers in at last giving life to this unlikely notion."

Additional artists and track listings will be announced as they are confirmed.
